I'm sorry

Boy am I a bad blogger! It's been over a year. I had great plans on posting about my customer quilts and showing lots of pictures but I discovered that not having a computer at home is not conducive to having a blog. I have a mobile device so I guess I will have to learn how to post from that. The pictures may not be all that great but I will try.

My business is keeping me busy! I am usually a couple months out. And I'm still trying to learn how to balance customer quilts with my own. I don't seem to have much time to work on my own stuff. But I decided that I'm going to work on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt. I am following her color scheme as that is what Missy likes. And I have a feeling this might end up being a wedding quilt. Oh my! If you want to follow along, I added a button to the side of my blog, labeled Easy Street, for your convenience.

My first post

Well, here I am! I decided since I now have a business name, Barefoot Quilting, that I should create a site where friends and whosoevers could see what I am up to. The local quilt store called me a few weeks ago. They are a husband/wife team with hubby, Dan, running the store and wife, Barbara, doing the longarm quilting. Barbara is going to have to have surgery and won't be able to quilt for awhile. So they asked me if I would mind receiving their customers during her downtime. Of course I said yes! I had a day off from work so I went and got a resale license for batting and thread and filed for a fictitious business name at the courthouse.

This is all a little overwhelming but I figure if I take it one step at a time, making sure my steps line up with His, I can do anything! I hope you will follow along and see the sights with me!
